These waveforms show ignition coil current waveforms from a General Motors vehicle
equipped with an AC crankshaft sensor.
One shows coil primary current at idle and the other at 3500 RPM. Notice the
vast difference between the current ramping times as RPM increase.
This demonstrates how the AC crankshaft sensor allows quicker switching of the
ignition module and also allow for a faster charge time as RPM increases.
